Terms of Use

Use Herbarist for its intended purpose — identifying and caring for plants. Don't misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt to access it in unauthorised ways, or use it to break the law or infringe others' rights.

You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Plant identification and care guidance are AI-generated estimates and can be wrong. Herbarist provides a confidence level, never a guarantee.

Do not rely on Herbarist to decide whether a plant is safe to touch, eat, or use medicinally. It is not medical, health, or safety advice. If a plant may be toxic or you have a health concern, consult a qualified professional.

You keep ownership of the photos and content you add. You grant Herbarist the limited permission needed to store and process them so the service can work for you (for example, to run identification and build your Growth Journey). You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

We work to keep Herbarist available and reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. Features may vary between free and Premium plans.

You can stop using Herbarist and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are broken or if the service is abused. See Account Deletion.

To the extent permitted by law, Calexis Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes arising from reliance on identification or care results. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Paid plans are governed by our Subscription Terms.
