Which platforms is Herbarist on?+
Herbarist is available for iOS and Android.
How accurate is plant identification?+
Every identification comes with a confidence level, never a guarantee — and when the evidence is thin, Herbarist asks for another photo instead of guessing. It can still be wrong, so don't rely on it to decide whether a plant is safe to touch, eat, or use medicinally.
Is it free?+
Yes, free to start. Your first identifications, your saved plants, care schedules, and reminders are all free. Premium unlocks more identifications under fair use and creating Growth Journey entries.
Do I need an account?+
You sign in with Apple or Google before running an identification, so your plants and history stay with you across devices.
How do I cancel Premium?+
Premium is billed and managed by Apple or Google — cancel any time from your store account. See Subscription Terms. Note that deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription.
How is my data handled, and how do I delete my account?+
We only collect what the app needs and never sell your data. Read the Privacy Policy, or start a deletion request on the Account Deletion page — no reinstall needed.
