You can request deletion of your Herbarist account and data here — you do not need to reinstall or re-open the app. This complements the account-deletion option available inside Herbarist itself.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account yourself — no email required. Sign in below and remove it from your account settings.
- 1Sign in with the same method you use in the app — Apple, Google, or email.
- 2Open Account Settings from the menu next to the language switcher.
- 3Choose Delete account and confirm. Your sign-in is removed immediately.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in identifiers.
- All plant photos you uploaded, including Growth Journey images.
- Your plants, species results, care schedules, reminders, and Growth Journey entries.
- Your Premium entitlement records held by Herbarist.
Timeline
Once verified, we remove your personal data from active systems within 30 days, and from routine backups shortly after. We'll confirm by email when it's done.
Data we may keep
We may retain a limited set of records where the law requires it — for example, transaction records needed for tax or fraud-prevention purposes — and only for as long as required. Everything else is deleted.
Your subscription is separate
Deleting your Herbarist account does not automatically cancel an active Premium subscription, because billing is managed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your store account before or after deletion:
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Herbarist → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Herbarist → Cancel.
